A friend of mine mentioned she knew a doctor who might be able to help – Dr. Wells. She had been known for years as New York's leading expert in treating hair loss.
Desperate, I called her office right away, hoping for an appointment.
But her schedule was booked solid for the next three months.
But when I explained my situation and shared my story – the endless attempts, the thinning hair, the constant anxiety, and the looming fear of having to consider something as drastic as a hair transplant…
Dr. Wells must have sensed the urgency in my voice.
She interrupted and said, “No need to think about a transplant just yet!”
"I’ll open my clinic extra early on Monday morning just for you. Come in, and we'll get to the bottom of this."
That weekend, I could hardly wait.
When Monday finally came, I poured my heart out to her.
I told her everything — the daily stress, the countless products and treatments that failed me, the fear of losing more hair, the feeling of watching myself disappear in the mirror.
Dr. Wells listened intently, nodding in understanding.
When I was done, she assured me that there were other options – and that I could start feeling hopeful again and see a difference in as little as two or three weeks.
"You’re not going down that road, we’re going to start turning things around today."
She got up and left the room for a minute.
When she returned, she was holding a strange-looking device.
She sat back down and began to explain. “I got fed up with all the so-called 'modern remedies' after watching my patients waste their time and money on solutions that just don’t work."
And so she worked intensely on this new weird device.
And then she showed me how this device could be the answer I had been looking for.
